Seb Learns to Dive

Over the past several months, Sebastian has developed a passion for all things ocean-related, including an interest in scuba diving. Luckily, a local diving company offers a Scuba Rangers program designed specifically for eight and nine year-olds to learn to dive (kids must be at least 10 to be certified divers).

So on a snowy Colorado day in December, he arrived at the pool ready to learn!

After a short time in the classroom, they got straight to the diving pool and one the first day they learned about inflating and deflating their BCDs, snorkeling, and some basic rescue techniques.

Day 2 was all about the diving! Seb learned all about the equipment he would be using, how to put it all together, and how to use it safely.

Seb took to diving immediately, and wanted to stay underwater as much as possible.

As an added bonus, I was allowed to get in the water and grab some photos and video to capture this incredible experience!
